Sometimes, we don't do the most sensible of things to get the shot we want, and this probably counted as one of them. The background is in fact the Atlantic ocean and I was standing on a 35m cliff edge, literally at the very edge of it! But photographers will be photographers, and I just needed that angle to make the picture...
Whilst I was standing concentrating very hard on not slipping and being very conscious of the loose soil etc. under my feet, a puffin actually landed between myself and Red Campion, totally unknown to me. It actually landed so close to me, that I was unable to focus the lens on the puffin to take a picture of it, and had to step backwards several steps to focus - my husband was getting rather nervous at this point...
